Helpful Notes about Amisco's Semi-Transparent Metal Finishes

Amisco's "Harley" metal finish is a semi-transparent powder coat that allows beautiful imperfections, weld marks and other nuances of the steel frame underneath to show through. Even the hue and tone of the color can vary across the frame of each stool. These variations make each piece truly unique.

When welding, metal heats up and darkens. Dark spots may be visible around the welded areas of your stool, as well as on the face of a metal part opposite to a weld. This dark area will vary from weld to weld and stool to stool. Sometimes they are extremely visible; other times, they're almost invisible.

A continuous black line may appear along a tubular part of the frame. This is the area where the steel was welded to become a tube. The location and visibility level of this seam vary from tube to tube, even on the same stool. Sometimes they are extremely visible; other times, you almost cannot see them at all.
